REQUIREMENTS

The successful degree level candidate MUST have extensive commercial experience in
installation, configuration and support of tiered software solutions, with excellent client
facing and project delivery skills.
Being proactive, organised and adaptable, you’ll need to keep close attention to detail, even under
pressure. With some Business Intelligence / Web Analytics awareness, you will be solutions
oriented, have good team-working skills and a keen interest in delivering systems that can be highly
reliable, available and supportable.
Essential technical skills
Experience with installation and configuration of operating systems and layered application
products eg web servers, databases, Java Application servers ( eg Tomcat, JBOSS, WebSphere),
applications and SAS Installation and Support.
Indepth experience of configuring operating systems to support complex applications, particularly
with:
* Solaris and Linux
* Windows, preferably some installation and management in a corporate environment
Preferable technical skills:
Installation of Web Analytics software and Web analytics/BI installation and support
Integration of monitoring systems e.g. Xymon.

Systems Engineer- SAS

We seek a passionate, innovative systems engineer to work on projects and systems, in house and
at clients, on installation, configuration, management and support of our web analytics solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Install, configure and integrate system and application software components for
both in-house systems and systems on client site
• Ensure configuration management standards are maintained & improved
• Assist in the production of technical proposals/specifications to meet the requirements
• Test and review to ensure quality is maintained
• Deliver and Maintain technical documentation
• Provide technical support to the operations manager and other team members
• Provide ongoing support to the applications teams
• Provide training/mentoring to team members
• Report to the Operations and Project Management and provide regular progress updates
